Very saddened to hear the news about Mr. Gil Scott-Heron. I've always loved his music and had been playing it alot recently, particularly Pieces of a Man and Lady Day and John Coltrane. The latter is one of the best songs ever written. The world is definitely at a loss.
Very bizarre you had just finished that Gil inspired Coltrane illustration.
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed, I was playing three of his albums on the day he died. A similar thing happened with that James Brown piece. I was also working on a Hunter S Thompson illustration that never got finished as he'd passed on when I was working on it too.
